Nymphaea immutabilis subsp. immutabilis

Nymphaea immutabilis subsp. immutabilis is an Australian waterlily in the Anecphya group. It has up to 400 yellow stamen.The petals are white in the interior with outer rows blue or all blue not fading with age. The pads are green. Typical of many of the Anecphya lilies, it can get very large. It originated in tropical northern Queensland mainly Cape York Peninsula west to Northern Territory and northern Western Australia. There are forms of this waterlily that instead of blue on the outer petals are pink or purple.
