Nymphaea capensis var. zanzibariensis Caspary

Nymphaea capensis var. zanzibariensis Caspary is a species lily with purple petals and green pads. It is a native of Zanzibar. It differs from the type Nymphaea capensis Thunberg principally in it’s larger flowers. Seedlings show a lot of variation in flower size and color.
