Nymphaea caerulea Savigny is a species lily with an almost white base violet blue tips with green pads. It is a native of North and Central Africa. It is also known as the Sacred Blue Lotus of the Nile. At one point Ken had the opportunity to help re-seed the lily to the country of Egypt. It was thought to be extinct. He produced thousands of seeds to give to the government.
